Job Responsibilities
- Receive, check-in, store, and prepare for delivery of supplies and equipment in the Central Installation Services warehouse.
- Perform routine tasks with limited independent judgment and make routine arithmetic computations.
- Load and unload delivery trucks for the CIS warehouse.
- Perform routine maintenance and make minor repairs to equipment.
- Fill requisitions and deliver orders to appropriate departments.
- Aid with all issues relating to delivery, receipt, staging, and shipment of technology and supply items.
- Provide timely information regarding hardware/software status to Principal Stores Clerks and other RIC staff as needed.
- Process surplus equipment, including storage, inventory, packaging, and redeployment, as per specified policies.
- Maintain proper accounting, storage, inventory, and security of all such items.
- Move and deliver furniture, as needed.
- Barcode incoming shipments.
- Utilize hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, and lift truck to arrange stock in the warehouse.

- Maintain inventory of supplies to meet district needs.
- Fill supply orders, as requested.
- Unpack boxes and crates, as required.
- Sort and store supplies.
- Function as driver/messenger, as needed.
- Assist with UPS, couriers, and mail shipments, as required (includes lifting).
- Work to ensure timely delivery of supplies to districts.
- Suggest changes to internal procedures to promote optimal efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Adhere to the Project Tracking and Management Procedure.
- Lift and carry loads up to 75 lbs.
- Sweep and clean up the warehouse, as required.
- Fills in as mailroom messenger, as needed.
Job Qualifications
- Must hold permanent status as a Stores Clerk; or,
- Must have received a canvass and be reachable on Stores Clerk #60-258 list; or,
- Must meet minimum qualifications for a provisional appointment as follows:
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of an equivalency diploma;
- Completion of two (2) years of high school supplemented by one (1) year of satisfactory experience as a stores clerk or in a related position;
- An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
