Job Summary Storeroom Receiving Clerk must safely work and operate machines and have awareness of machine safety requirements. They will be responsible for area housekeeping. Duties & Essential Job Functions Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and report unsafe conditionsReceives and stores materialUnloading delivery trucks/sign for all deliveriesUnpacks delivery shipmentsCompares packing lists to purchase orders, ensuring accurate deliveriesProcess goods receipt in SAP; scan packing list into IMS for APPhysically place inventory stock into correct storage locationProcess all out going Fed-ex shipmentsHelp purchasing return items as needed against POsProcess shipments for outgoing repairsWork with buyer to resolve shipment issues and PO discrepanciesResponsible for follow-up with suppliers to assure deliveries, tags material as requiredProperly tags material received for stock and inventory managementProperly prepare material and bill of lading for Outbound ShipmentsSupport other team positions and functions as necessaryResponsible for the housekeeping of work areasPerform other duties as assignedParticipate in training and cross-training of new/current team membersPerform PM activities as assignedRegular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role Skills/Competencies Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Trade Certification preferred5+ years of manufacturing experience preferredMust be able to follow written/verbal instructions; basic computer skills; able to read measuring devices/equipmentVisual acuity to read and record numerical dataAttention to detail, dependability, professionalism, and a great work ethicKnowledge of industrial equipment and components is preferredProven proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office); SAP experience is a plusMust have good mechanical aptitude and basic math skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious experience with precision instruments (micrometers, calipers etc.) preferred Required Licenses/Certification Forklift and Crane Physical Requirements/Work Environment Manufacturing/ Industrial work environmentThe employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particlesThe employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditionsThe noise level in the work environment is usually loud Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
