Storeroom Clerk
About the role
Poly-America produces several lines of polyethylene products including high quality trash bags, construction films, and geomembrane liners. Poly-America is also the most technologically advanced and largest recycler and compounder of polyethylene in the world.
Storeroom Clerks are responsible for issuing parts, supplies, and other items to all departments within the company. This position is also accountable for maintaining inventory levels and cycle counts within the tool crib. Clerks receive inventory into the storeroom system and stock parts or supplies onto racks using sit-down propane forklifts. The role may involve additional responsibilities and opportunities as assigned by management.
Responsibilities
- Issue parts, supplies, and other items to all company departments
- Maintain inventory levels and perform cycle counts within the tool crib
- Receive inventory into the storeroom system and stock parts or supplies onto racks
- Operate sit-down propane forklifts
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in an internal customer service or storeroom-related role
- Experience using warehouse management systems to track, verify, and re-stock inventory
- Ability to work a night shift or day shift as assigned by management
- Willingness to learn Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures
- Must be available to work each day of the week
- Successfully pass a drug screen
Schedule
Yearly set schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off with 12-hour shifts. The days of the week worked will rotate from week to week.
