Storeroom Attendant Material Handler

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Cartersville, GA. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Manage inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, and anchors
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and pallet jacks
• Load, pick, pack, ship, receive, cycle count, and unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
• Support the automated packing system during peak production hours
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong technical aptitude including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS system
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Able to work both indoors and outside
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and as a member of a team
• Able to work within a diverse work environment
• Punctual and reliable with a good attendance record
• Available to work on a flexible schedule on various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Qualifications
