About the role
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Material Handler-1 Store Room, 2nd Shift.
Responsibilities
- Receive and issue raw materials, assemblies, sub-assemblies, tools, and supplies.
- Forward all required documentation to computer services for data entry.
- Support planners and buyers with material availability processes.
- Prepare finished products and raw materials for boxing, packing, and shipping as needed.
- Contribute to a safe, engaged and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
- Use a variety of material handling equipment and hand tools to unload and load trucks arriving or leaving from receiving area and for placing material in the proper bin location or delivering material to the work centers.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement as well as complete root cause analysis in response to issues with quality or production.
- Responsible for quality, including visual inspections of material before shipping, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
- Cross train and stand in for other employees/job functions when necessary.
- Use supply chain tracking systems to maintain inventory.
- Operate a forklift to move material.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
- Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered.
- Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications
- 3 months of industrial manufacturing experience.
- 3 months of experience operating a powered industrial truck (forklift).
- 3 months of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools.
- South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle or feel objects and materials.
- Frequently required to stoop and perform tasks involving lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to or exceeding 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include near and far vision, depth perception, and color distinction.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to noise while performing job duties.
- Frequent exposure to dust in the work area.
