About the role
Storekeeper position as part of the bed management team responsible for the physical movement of hospital beds within the OSU Wexner Medical Center to maintain safe patient care environments. This position will assist in partnering with Patient Flow, external bed management vendors, and Operations leadership teams to plan, develop, implement, and oversee initiatives and projects designed to evaluate and improve clinical quality, safety, resource utilization, and bed management operations within University Hospital and Ross Heart Hospital.
The position will report to the Business Operations Manager and collaborate to identify opportunities and challenges for bed management.
Responsibilities
- Monitors location, collection, delivery, and transfer of OSU owned beds and specialty hospital rental beds.
- Performs assessment of hospital beds and assures compliance of the medical equipment environment with national codes and standards, including accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
- Ability to read and write simple sentences.
- 1 course in record keeping (or 1 month of experience).
- 1 course in inventory control (or 1 month of experience).
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
