About the role
At CubeSmart, our culture makes the difference. When we say it’s what’s inside that counts, we are saying “you count.” In this role, you will manage and maintain your property, combining customer service and property maintenance responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop customer relationships by identifying self-storage needs and providing appropriate solutions while delivering a standout customer experience.
- Interact face-to-face with customers, providing excellent service and building rapport.
- Meet monthly sales goals and metrics.
- Walk the property to perform daily operational tasks, including lock checks and showing units to customers.
- Work both independently and on a team to rent self-storage spaces, sell store merchandise, manage the leasing process, accept payments using our Point-of-Sale System (POS), complete daily bank deposits, and make courtesy calls to customers regarding late payments.
- Manage invoice review and approval responsibilities within the database.
- Process invoices, manage reports, and handle the legal process of auctions.
- Oversee the store’s expense budget while maintaining store supplies and retail inventory.
- Perform physical tasks such as daily walks of the property, cleaning units and store grounds, opening and closing storage doors (up to 50 lbs.), and maintaining the facility (e.g., mopping, sweeping, changing light bulbs, cleaning out storage units).
- Maintain a clean and safe storage facility to meet company guidelines, including clean restrooms, neat landscaping and parking areas, tidy storage doors, and a decluttered office space.
Qualifications
- A positive and outgoing personality with a passion for helping people.
- Experience delivering high-quality customer service to a diverse customer market.
- A self-driven mindset with a strong operational focus.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office products.
- Ability to work Saturdays; some locations may require Sunday hours.
- Access to a personal vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and up-to-date insurance.
- Frequent physical requirements: standing, sitting, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, climbing, or balancing on a ladder.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future sponsorship.
