STORE/NIGHT CLERK

Responsibilities

• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
• Handle stressful situations.
• Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products sold.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality and label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
• Report discrepancies and unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures.
• Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
• Notify management of accidents and report safety risks and illegal activity.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Second language skills (speaking, reading, writing) preferred.
• Desired: Retail experience, second language skills.
