About the role

The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and accurate guest service.
• Develop and promote a sales culture by sharing product knowledge and fostering guest loyalty.
• Ensure a clean, organized shopping environment and supervise staff to meet sales and profit targets.
• Recruit, train, and retain high-performing associates, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
• Supervise store operations, including inventory management, sales, and guest service.
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions, and handle defective merchandise and recalls.
• Lead a team to meet sales and profit goals, while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• At least 1 year of retail management experience, and at least 3 years of retail sales or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Outgoing personality with strong people skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in person and on the phone.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the store for up to 12 hours per day.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform other basic fine and gross motor skills.
