About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store operation
- Provide and model best-in-class guest service
- Support the total shopping environment, including visual and operational elements
- Process guest purchases/returns accurately and efficiently
- Promote GameStop’s guest benefits and engage in recruitment and training
- Schedule and supervise staff to ensure optimal guest service
- Ensure store cleanliness, organize merchandise, and fulfill orders
- Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions, and handle inventory and shipping
- Report injuries and maintain store records
- Work collaboratively with military personnel on military bases
Qualifications
- Proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the US
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of retail management experience
- At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred
- Video game knowledge preferred
