About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s unique guest benefits and fulfilling Omni-Channel orders.
- Recruit, hire, train, and retain high-performing associates, ensuring they understand company policies and procedures.
- Schedule and supervise staff, maintaining optimal guest service and achieving sales and profit targets.
- Perform administrative tasks such as payroll processing, inventory management, and bank deposits.
- Ensure store cleanliness and organize merchandise, addressing potential safety hazards and reporting incidents promptly.
- Lead store teams in meeting and exceeding sales and profit goals, while adhering to GameStop policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- At least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience required; 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management/leadership experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge preferred.
