About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s guest benefits and managing associates.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately, maintaining accurate records.
- Recruit, train, and supervise associates, ensuring they meet performance standards.
- Ensure store cleanliness, organize merchandise, and fulfill orders.
- Count and reconcile daily transactions, maintain security, and report incidents.
- Lead the team to meet sales and profit targets, while adhering to company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience, and at least 3 years of retail sales or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge is preferred.
- Outgoing personality with strong people skills, clear communication, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
