About the role

The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and performance of retail staff. This role utilizes GameStop's business model to foster a positive shopping environment and drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional guest service
  • Manage and lead a multiunit store operation
  • Support the shopping environment, including visual merchandising and sales initiatives
  • Process guest purchases and returns accurately and efficiently
  • Recruit, interview, hire, assess, and retain associates
  • Schedule and supervise staff to ensure optimal guest service
  • Ensure store cleanliness and organize merchandise
  • Count and reconcile daily business transactions, handle inventory, and manage shipping
  • Report injuries and maintain store records
  • Work collaboratively with military personnel on military bases

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
  • At least 1 year of retail management experience
  • At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred
  • Video game knowledge preferred
