About the role
The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service.
- Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s guest benefits and managing associates.
- Process guest purchases and returns accurately, maintaining accurate records and reconciling daily transactions.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a retail staff, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure store cleanliness, organize merchandise, and fulfill Omni-Channel orders.
- Count and reconcile inventory, handle defective merchandise, and report any injuries.
- Work collaboratively with military personnel on military bases, if applicable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 1 year of retail management experience, and at least 3 years of retail sales or management experience preferred.
- Video game knowledge preferred.

- Clear verbal and written communication skills, both in person and on the phone.

- Basic mathematical and organizational skills.

- Physical ability to stand, move, bend, stoop, and lift up to 30 lbs.
