Store Manager (Store 1022)

About the role

The Store Manager oversees all aspects of store operations, influencing guest satisfaction and driving sales through exceptional customer service and strategic management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a multiunit store, ensuring prompt and courteous guest service
• Support the shopping environment, promoting GameStop’s guest benefits and fulfilling orders
• Recruit, train, and supervise a retail staff, ensuring compliance with company policies
• Ensure store cleanliness, organize merchandise, and maintain inventory
• Count, balance, and reconcile daily transactions, and handle defective merchandise
• Lead the team in achieving sales and profit targets, and complete administrative tasks

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of retail management experience
• At least 3 years of retail sales, guest service, or management experience preferred
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred
• Video game knowledge preferred

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Outgoing personality with strong people skills
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic mathematics and alphabetizing skills
• Ability to stand, move, bend, stoop, crouch, stretch, reach, lift up to 30 lbs., and perform other basic fine and gross motor skills
