About the role
Wilson is a leading sports equipment brand dedicated to empowering athletes through innovation and quality products. The Wilson Retail Store Manager position is a key role in driving the success of the store, its team, and the broader tennis community.
Responsibilities
- Consistently maintain a fully staffed team through proactive recruiting, hiring, and training.
- Identify and develop talent for your internal pipeline.
- Manage team performance through clear expectations, coaching, and accountability.
- Drive traffic and brand love through strategic community outreach, authentic connections in your tennis community, a deep understanding of your local market, and monthly community programming.
- Schedule and attend monthly tennis lessons with your team.
- Identify, onboard, and engage store ambassadors.
- Maintain the in-store community board with up-to-date information to ensure your store is the tennis concierge for your community.
- Lead and execute impactful visual merchandising standards in partnership with the US Visual Merchandising Manager.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving and processing procedures in partnership with the Retail Operations team.
- Collaborate with your peers and cross-functional partners with strong interpersonal skills and communication.
- Schedule your floor to ensure optimal athlete experience and coverage at all times.
- Use Key Performance Indicators to analyze and drive your business forward with educated and informed decision making.
- Deliver weekly and quarterly business reviews.
- Create quarterly strategies for business growth and team development, always in the pursuit of excellence.
- Consistently deliver on sales targets and maintain labor efficiency through strategic scheduling and floor leadership.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of retail leadership experience, including fashion or sportswear retail.
- A demonstrated ability to build long-lasting, meaningful relationships within the tennis community.
- Proven success in developing leaders and seeing opportunities to further engage with their development goals.
- Intrinsically motivated to drive for success every day.
- A proven ability to set a clear vision, align your team around common goals, and foster commitment to these objectives.
- A passion for sport is always a plus!
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Driven by a high level of autonomy and excel in an entrepreneurial environment.
- A passion for bold ideas and pursuing progress at every turn.
- A conviction for what you believe in, acting with integrity and respect in every situation.

- A reasonable estimate of the pay range is $78,000-86,000 per year at the time of this posting.
