Responsibilities
- Customer Experience
- Function as a role model at all times, ensuring that customers remain the top priority; respond to all customer complaints or needs.
- Achieves excellent scores on secret shopper reports.
- Promote merchandise and demonstrate product knowledge to customers and assist with any requests.
- Revenue Generation Responsibilities
- Shares vision and plans execution store strategy in alignment with corporate and district initiatives.
- Achieve store financial objectives in sales goals, comp store increases, sales per square foot, expense control, units per transaction, payroll percent and shrinkage.
- Educate the store team on reports, analysis of business trends and inventory opportunities.
- Analyze business reports consistently and develop strategies to maximize financial performance.
- Operational Responsibilities
- Prioritize workflow through successful planning and time management.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels based on business trends and payroll guidelines.
- Understand and comply with all company policies, procedures and operations.
- Responsible for maintaining the physical appearance and cleanliness of the store.
- Recognize problems, analyze causes, and generate alternatives and solutions.
- Maintain compliance of all company assigned training.
- Demonstrate ability to convey company expectations.
- Responsible for the protection of the Company assets (Inventory, Cash, Store fixturing and all other company property).
- Communicate all loss prevention occurrences to the District Manager, Market Manager when applicable and Loss Prevention Manager.
- Practice excellent customer service at all times in order to prevent possible theft.
- Review and audit store processes, transactions and paperwork to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise, lead, and motivate staff members.
- Visual, Brand and Product Management
- Ensure execution of all pricing strategies to achieve gross margin.
- Maintain the store according to visual guidelines, understand and hold teams accountable to the company visual standards.
- Communicate store inventory opportunities to the District Manager or Market Manager when applicable.
- Ensure and participate in timely planning and execution of the store planograms.
- Ensure the store team can clearly understand the company’s brand position.
- Ensure replenishment of merchandise on the selling floor as needed.
- Instruct and participate in visual merchandising standards and directives set forth by the company.
- People Responsibilities
- Ensure all PEI customer service standards are being met and modeled.
- Adhere to Human Resources standards following general practices.
- Recruit, select, hire and develop diverse talent for the store.
- Fill open positions with qualified candidates utilizing 30 days as a goal and maintaining a talent pool.
- Assess, develop, educate, mentor and provide timely feedback and coaching on a regular and consistent basis.
- Hold the store team accountable for achieving store results.
- Manage conflict.
- Empower and involve the team in the decision-making process while guiding the process.
- Receptive to feedback and foster dialogue around solutions.
- Lead by taking calculated risks and manage through change and adversity.
- Maintain confidentiality and meet own commitments.
- Ensure that all store associates are adhering to federal, state and local labor laws.
- Human Resources: Proven ability to network and maintain talent pool for recruitment; select and develop store management teams; develop bench strength; coach and counsel; persuasively argue a point of view without losing objectivity.
- Customer Service: Ability to function as a role model during all store visits, ensuring that customers remain top priority: ability to respond in an empathetic way when dealing with the customer.
- Organization: Ability to organize, delegate, prioritize, meet deadlines, and hold the team accountable and follow-up on all activities within the area.
- Leadership: Proven ability to challenge and motivate management and store teams in an atmosphere of mutual respect by supporting PEI core values.
- Mercandising: Knowledge of visual presentation standards. Ability to implement and interpret according to the planogram.
- Communication: Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Business Analysis: Ability to analyze business trends and function within payroll, shortage and controllable expenses to maximize area performance and profitability.
