Store Manager Candidate

About the role

This role supports the Store Manager in implementing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. It is a limited-term developmental position designed to prepare candidates for a Store Manager role, with some travel involved.

Responsibilities

• Assist with recruitment and staffing.
• Facilitate merchandise staging and stocking.
• Manage inventory and ensure proper ordering.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety.
• Assist with opening and closing store activities.
• Handle cash and ensure financial integrity through cash control and security practices.
• Analyze operating statements to identify business trends.
• Control expenses and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, merchandising, and safety policies.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, and lift 40-55 pounds.
• Occasional driving.

Qualifications

• Preferred: at least one year of retail experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers may be given preference.
