Store Manager Candidate

About the role

The Store Manager Candidate supports the Store Manager in executing store operations, including employee supervision, staffing, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in recruiting, staging merchandise, managing inventory, and ensuring store cleanliness and safety
• Analyze sales and expense data, maintain financial integrity, and operate the store in the manager's absence
• Support hiring, training, and developing staff
• Ensure store merchandising and inventory accuracy
• Maintain compliance with policies and safety standards
• Review operational metrics and maintain financial controls
• Provide excellent customer service and foster a collaborative team environment

Requirements

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of cash handling, inventory, and merchandising practices
• Ability to interpret manuals and perform mathematical calculations
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting up to 40-55 pounds, and occasional climbing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to outside weather and moderate noise
• Some travel required, with limited overnight stays

Qualifications

• Preferred: High school diploma and retail experience
• Bilingual in Spanish may be favored in some locations
