Store Manager, Balsam Hill Studio - Kona, HI

Balsam Brands is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to manage our Balsam Hill Studio retail store in Kona, HI. In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure our customers experience the magic of Balsam Hill in an inspired holiday setting. The Store Manager is a true business owner for their store. They are responsible for leading, managing, and continuously developing all aspects of their store’s business. They are accountable for creating and maintaining a positive and highly productive work environment that aligns with the company’s mission. They will be responsible for consistently achieving sales and probability goals, operational objectives, merchandising standards, and developing a highly successful team. What You’ll Do Deliver exceptional customer experiences by fostering a customer-first culture, building lasting relationships through personalized service and clientelingLead and develop a small team of 1–2 part-time associates through ongoing coaching, feedback, and accountability, while actively working the floor as the primary associate in this boutique-format storeDrive sales performance by setting daily priorities, modeling effective selling behaviors, coaching associate’s in real time, and executing KPI-driven strategiesPartner with the Area Manager and cross-functional teams to execute company initiatives and support business growthBuild local community relationships to increase brand awareness and drive store trafficRecruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing store teamAnalyze business performance and partner with the Area Manager to improve sales, customer experience, and operational executionBuild schedules that drive results while managing labor effectivelyMaintain visual merchandising, promotional execution, and overall store standardsOversee inventory management, replenishment, shipment processing, and loss preventionEnsure consistent execution of company policies, safety standards, and operational processes What You Bring To The Table 5+ years of retail experience. Experience in specialty, boutique, luxury, gift, home, or visual-led retail preferredExperience coaching and developing leadersStrong commercial acumen with the ability to interpret KPIs and drive performanceExcellent communication, organizational, planning, and prioritization skillsStrong visual merchandising and operational executionExperience balancing customer experience with payroll, productivity, and inventory managementComfortable working in an evolving retail environment with a continuous improvement mindsetProficiency with retail systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and business reporting tools Physical Requirements Must be able to work onsite at the Kona storeAbility to lift, bend, kneel, and climbValid driver’s license and proof of insurance (this job may require driving on company time) Notes: This is a full-time, in-person position The targeted start date for this role is Q4 2026/Q1 2027. Please note that placement within the posted salary range is based on several factors, including geographic location, experience, skills, alignment with role requirements and other job-related factors.
