What You'll Do
- Oversees the daily sales and back of house operation and ensures sales objectives are met.
- Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
- Holds self and staff accountable to our Core Values and coaches to the behaviors associated with them.
- Makes staffing decisions including employment, training, task assignment, promotion, discipline and termination for assigned functions.
- Fosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching, training and engagement of Sales Associates.
- Follows our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT, by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining and thanking the customer.
- Must be proficient in product knowledge.
- Promotes safety for both our customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.
Recruit Great Talent
- Responsible for proactively networking/recruiting qualified candidates to ensure proper backfill for all positions.
- Identify internal/external candidates with a proven ability to develop and maintain sincere, authentic relationships.
- Interview and select candidates based on IT’SUGAR’S core values.
- Onboard, train and coach Associates/Supervisors and ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to.
Achieve Sales Goals
- Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products.
- Uses selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.
- Establish a Collaborative Selling Culture in the Store, ensuring Associates/Supervisors are trained in all IT’SUGAR selling training programs.
- Manages Store Operations Oversees all operational standards, including the timely execution of pricing, signage, replenishment, plan-o-grams, shipping, receiving and maintenance of inventory accuracy and product flow.
- Oversees the execution of store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures.
- Maintains allocated budget within the store.
- Safeguards the store's visual guidelines and supports the brand image.
- Oversees the planning and set-up for special events and promotions.
- Maintain communication with Supervisors regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
- Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues with the store leadership team and escalates to HQ as needed.
