What You'll Do

  • Oversees the daily sales and back of house operation and ensures sales objectives are met.
  • Evaluates daily operations on an ongoing basis and makes recommendations/initiates action to enhance productivity, efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.
  • Holds self and staff accountable to our Core Values and coaches to the behaviors associated with them.
  • Makes staffing decisions including employment, training, task assignment, promotion, discipline and termination for assigned functions.
  • Fosters a productive work environment through consistent coaching, training and engagement of Sales Associates.
  • Follows our customer engagement model, SUGARTAINMENT, by setting the stage, welcoming, engaging, entertaining and thanking the customer.
  • Must be proficient in product knowledge.
  • Promotes safety for both our customers and associates by adhering to company guidelines.

Recruit Great Talent

  • Responsible for proactively networking/recruiting qualified candidates to ensure proper backfill for all positions.
  • Identify internal/external candidates with a proven ability to develop and maintain sincere, authentic relationships.
  • Interview and select candidates based on IT’SUGAR’S core values.
  • Onboard, train and coach Associates/Supervisors and ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to.

Achieve Sales Goals

  • Follows through on customer requests for specific items and suggests additional products.
  • Uses selling skills by explaining benefits, features, prices, quality, value, and other product information.
  • Establish a Collaborative Selling Culture in the Store, ensuring Associates/Supervisors are trained in all IT’SUGAR selling training programs.
  • Manages Store Operations Oversees all operational standards, including the timely execution of pricing, signage, replenishment, plan-o-grams, shipping, receiving and maintenance of inventory accuracy and product flow.
  • Oversees the execution of store cash handling records, reports, and opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintains allocated budget within the store.
  • Safeguards the store's visual guidelines and supports the brand image.
  • Oversees the planning and set-up for special events and promotions.
  • Maintain communication with Supervisors regarding product recommendations to increase sales/inventory.
  • Understands all Loss Prevention (LP) policies and procedures and communicates LP issues with the store leadership team and escalates to HQ as needed.
