About the role

The primary responsibility of the Store Manager is to lead teams in driving sales, brand loyalty, providing exceptional customer service as well as recruiting and developing top retail talent. This position has full accountability for the key financial results of the store and is responsible for the overall leadership and development of the store by building an independent, high-performing team that is dedicated to achieving results and supporting company strategies.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding, knowledge and hands on experience of all positions within the store
  • At least 3 years of experience as a specialty retail store manager in relevant traffic and volume preferred
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, & PowerPoint, and ability to adapt to additional software programs
  • Broad knowledge and perspective of retail landscape
  • Must be available to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)
  • Must commit to one store closing per week, either Friday or Saturday
  • Able to utilize retail POS System & Inventory Scanner
  • Able to make change using American Monetary units
  • Able to understand and interpret moderately complex financial reports
  • High School Diploma required or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to carry out detailed tasks and projects with minimal direction or supervision
  • This position requires the ability to problem solve complex situations in an effective and efficient manner including dealing with difficult and/or troubled clients
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive working relationships
  • Ability to express ideas clearly and succinctly via letters, memos, and reports

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Solely responsible to recruit and maintain a diverse, high-performing store team through consistent selection, development and motivation while working alongside the team at all levels
  • Act as a true business owner, bringing timely ideas and solutions to your store team, peer group and cross functional partners to improve the customer experience
  • Drive daily, weekly, and monthly financial results by establishing strategic plans in partnership with the Territory Manager to achieve successful business outcomes
  • Ensure accountability and appropriate management of all day-to-day operational procedures, financial targets (including sales forecasting and payroll), and company policy standards in store
  • Create and manage scheduling that maximizes staffing to meet the needs of the business and drive store profitability while leveraging payroll most effectively
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and overall direction of accountabilities to meet store and Company goals through understanding and experience of each role within the store
  • Lead by example and direct training in order to influence Sales Associates behaviors while participating in providing an exceptional shopping experience to our customers
  • Conduct Corrective Actions and Performance Improvement Plans with individual employees to address any issues or behaviors that are causing problems, detail which actions must be improved, and what resources will be available to offer support where necessary
  • Solely responsible for ensuring that documentation is complete and provided to HR to support all resignations and terminations of employees
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety measures and OSHA regulations
  • Report and log any and all Workers Compensation incidents
  • Create, facilitate and present training programs, processes, and concepts to groups
  • Manage rest and meal break schedules and ensure that all zones are covered
  • Assists with store security including checking bags and monitoring fitting rooms
  • Foster a positive work environment and provides direct, honest feedback in a timely manner
  • Ensure that store staff are treated professionally, courteously and respectfully
  • Direct the planning and execution of floor sets in an efficient manner while following Company guidelines and encouraging collaboration of ideas amongst team members
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all LP policies
  • Cultivate an environment of open communication and teamwork
  • Represent the company in a professional and positive manner
  • Inspire and motivate entire team by sharing knowledge and best practices for sales, merchandising, stocking and inventory processes
  • Other duties as assigned
