About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Store Manager who embodies GNC's "Live Well" philosophy—living strong, living long, and living fit. As a Store Manager, you will lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to our customers.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including business performance, product management, and ensuring your team has the tools to succeed.
  • Represent the GNC brand by offering expert product knowledge and promoting our "Live Well" message to customers.
  • Ensure products are merchandised according to GNC standards but keep an eye towards ensuring that products are easy to see and buy.
  • Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the customer relationship that leads to sales and repeat business, i.e., MYGNC Rewards.
  • Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals, while helping sales associates to realize their sales potential.
  • Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership, and managerial skills, such as giving feedback to store associates regarding work performance on an ongoing basis, recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
  • Open, close, and operate the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory count, and deposits according to GNC procedures.
  • Attend community fairs, conferences, meetings, and other public gatherings to promote the organization's mission and initiatives.

Requirements

Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day, frequent reaching and bending and twisting below waist and above shoulders, frequently lift up to twenty pounds, occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, push/pull up to 20 lbs, climb ladders, reach and bend, work in temperatures ranging from 50 - 85 degrees, especially in stock room areas, use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day.

  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Knowledge of health and wellness products and trends.
  • Experience in retail operations and store management.

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, hourly position. Stores Managers are expected to work five (5) days / forty (40) hours a week and adhere to the guidelines below:

  • Mall and strip center managers must work at least two nights during the week until closing, one weekend night, and one other night.
  • Strip center managers must also work a full shift on Saturdays.
  • Mall managers are expected to work peak business days including weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
  • Managers are expected to work a minimum of one full Sunday per month.
  • Managers of downtown stores must also work during the lunch hour of 11am to 2pm Monday through Friday.
  • Downtown store managers must also work one night per week until closing if the store is open in the evening.
  • Managers of downtown stores are not required to work Saturdays.
  • Managers are expected to work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
