Store Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Store Manager who embodies GNC's "Live Well" philosophy—living strong, living long, and living fit. As a Store Manager, you will lead a team passionate about helping everyone win by offering tailored and innovative health and wellness solutions to each customer.

This is a full-time, hourly supervisory position.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support your team to provide exceptional service and guidance to customers.
• Oversee daily store operations, including business performance and product management.
• Ensure products are merchandised according to GNC standards while maintaining easy visibility and accessibility for customers.
• Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, sales initiatives, and customer relationships (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
• Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while helping sales associates realize their potential.
• Build strong teams through leadership, feedback, recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
• Handle opening, closing, and operating the retail facility, including cash handling, inventory counts, and deposits according to GNC procedures.
• Attend community fairs, conferences, meetings, and other public gatherings to promote GNC’s mission and initiatives.

Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and twisting—below the waist and above the shoulders.
• Repetitive hand-to-finger motions and reaching with hands and arms.
• Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
• Push/pull up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
• Work in temperatures ranging from 50–85 degrees, especially in stock room areas.
• Use of a computer up to 60% of the day.

Schedule

• Store Managers are expected to work five days (40 hours) per week.
• Mall and strip center store managers must work at least two nights until closing, one weekend night, and one other night.
• Strip center managers must work a full shift on Saturdays.
• Mall managers must work peak business days, including weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
• All managers must work a minimum of one full Sunday per month.
• Downtown store managers must work during lunch hours (11 AM–2 PM, Monday–Friday) and one night per week until closing if the store is open in the evening. Downtown managers are not required to work Saturdays.
• Managers must work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
