As a Store Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of bringing the fandom to life, leading the store in achieving sales targets, recruiting, development, and performance management. You’ll be a retail maverick who thrives in a dynamic environment, develops talent, and delivers exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the store achieves sales plans and/or comp sales goals.
- Recruit, develop, and retain a collaborative and passionate team to run the store alongside you.
- Create buzz and customer engagement through social media, store web applications, and clienteling.
- Lead an operationally sound business with a balance of organizational structure, delegation, autonomy, and customer-first selling practices.
- Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, schedules, and external factors affecting business.
- Collaborate with retail leadership and HQ partners on trends and customer feedback.
- Run sales reports and use data to guide strategy for hitting sales targets.
- Adapt to new technologies, communicate company policies, and control supply spending.
- Merchandise the store compellingly, leveraging planograms as a guide, and launch all promos on time.
- Build a bench of talented, passionate staff through mentorship, recognition, and feedback.
Requirements
- At least 1-2 years of retail store management experience, leading teams to success.
- Skills in communication, recruiting, and operations (payroll, reporting, scheduling, merchandising).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent (a degree is a plus).
- Ability to adapt to the fast-changing retail industry and handle unexpected challenges.
- Open-minded and inquisitive about pop culture fandoms and trends.
- Physical ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and handle boxes of up to 50 pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).
