About the role
The Store Leader (Manager) Trainee at 7-Eleven is a dynamic role designed to empower you to become a key player in driving store performance, fostering exceptional customer service, and leading a team to success. You will undergo a comprehensive training program to master the skills needed for a variety of operational roles within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
- Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
- Oversee and implement all merchandising and marketing programs.
- Use P&L and store reports to affect change.
- Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the rewards loyalty program.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and demonstrate interpersonal skills.
- Show proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word and Excel.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Previous supervisory experience, or a strong desire to learn and develop these skills.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with at least one year of retail management experience.
- A valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
- The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, and reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
