About the role

The Store HR Representative supports HR functions within Meijer stores, focusing on staffing, training, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the staffing, interviewing, and selection of leadership and non-leadership roles within the store.
  • Manage the applicant tracking system and applications for positions within the store.
  • Oversee effective orientation, onboarding, and training to enhance engagement and retention.
  • Facilitate communication between leadership and team members through various HR initiatives.
  • Support leadership in understanding and implementing career development resources for team members.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, dispute resolution, corrective actions, terminations, and EEO matters.
  • Assist with the investigation and resolution of employee complaints or policy violations.
  • Offer support to HR Market Managers with projects as needed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • An associate degree in Human Resources is preferred.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
  • Confidentiality and trustworthiness.
