About the role

We are a growing family owned company. Looking for an energetic person to supervise, direct, and manage all phases of daily store operations to a high standard of overall business performance and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and manage all phases of daily store operations
• Oversee employee relations, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
• Ensure staff are motivated, engaged, and aligned with the store's values and service expectations
• Accountable for achieving financial and operational goals by maximizing sales and profit margins
• Maintain strict control over labor costs, inventory levels, and other operating expenses
• Monitor merchandise presentation and ensure proper stock levels
• Implement effective merchandising and promotional strategies
• Effectively utilize available personnel and resources to ensure the store consistently meets or exceeds targeted projections
• Maintain efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction

Requirements

• Considerable knowledge and experience in the perishable areas of the store (produce, deli, bakery, and cafe)
• Ability to create a welcoming, community-oriented shopping atmosphere with strong relationships with customers
• Ability to foster a positive team culture
