About the role
The Reception Diagnostic Center is a maximum-security intake facility in Plainfield, Indiana, handling over 600 incarcerated adult males annually. This facility assesses and classifies inmates, determining their appropriate long-term placements based on physical and mental health evaluations, addiction services, and work-readiness reviews.
Responsibilities
- Enter and maintain detailed inventory records in Access database.
- Approve incoming shipments of incarcerated individuals' institutional and medical records.
- Place or locate records to assigned positions for storage.
- Retrieve records for incoming incarcerated individuals.
- Scan institutional records into DOC imaging database.
- Pull records for destruction as they meet DOC criteria.
Requirements
- Effective communication skills.
- General Office knowledge including computer skills.
- Ability to maintain detailed inventory records.
- Ability to train on the proper methods of storing, retrieving, and destroying incarcerated individuals’ records.
- Ability to train in the operation of mechanical equipment like a scissor lift or hand-truck.

Pay
