About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health plays a significant role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the overall health and wellness of individuals and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs and offering assistance as required.
• Foster a welcoming environment by greeting customers warmly and offering help as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, managing vendor check-ins, and updating pricing information.
• Support opening and closing store activities as needed.
• Offer customer support across various departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
• Work regularly in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities.
• Advocate for and assist with new CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts regularly.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts/details.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required.

Skills

Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
