About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. You'll work closely with customers, supporting various departments and assisting in the pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, greeting customers warmly and offering assistance as needed.
- Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies.
- Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and manage inventory under the guidance of the store manager.
- Support store operations by participating in opening and closing activities.
- Assist in the photo and beauty departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
- Work in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities.
- Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs.
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age.
- Remaining upright on the feet for extended periods.
- Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly.
- Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
Skills
Customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.
