About the role
The Retail Store Associate position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a retail setting. This role focuses on customer satisfaction through proactive service, accurate transaction processing, and supporting various departments within the store.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and meet customer needs through attentive service and positive interactions
- Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
- Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing, and manage inventory as directed
- Support store operations by assisting with opening and closing activities
- Provide assistance to departments like photo and beauty, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
- Work in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities
- Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Physical requirements: Standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, negligible force regularly
- Visual acuity: Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing computer terminals, reading, and inspecting small parts
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Skills
Customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational abilities are essential.
