About the role

The Retail Store Associate position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a leading retail setting. This role involves a blend of independent work and teamwork, focusing on the needs of customers and supporting various departments within the store.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and meet customer needs through attentive and compassionate service
• Maintain a positive and welcoming environment by greeting customers warmly and assisting them with their requests
• Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies
• Manage the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing information
• Support store operations by participating in opening and closing activities as needed
• Provide assistance to departments like photo and beauty, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
• Work in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities
• Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Physical requirements: remaining upright on the feet, lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly
• Visual acuity necessary for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspections

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting
