About the role

The Retail Store Associate position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a leading retail setting. This role requires a blend of independent work and teamwork, focusing on the needs of customers and supporting various departments within the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion, and resolving service issues promptly.
• Focus on the customer by greeting warmly, maintaining eye contact, and offering help as needed.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and managing inventory tasks.
• Support opening and closing store activities, when required.
• Offer customer support to all departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational, and stay updated with new services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth and career development.
• Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that align with the company's mission of helping people on their path to better health.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Physical requirements: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods; lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible force regularly.
• Visual acuity: Close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspections involving small parts/details.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
