About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health plays a significant role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting the overall health and wellness of individuals and communities.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and respond to customer needs with warmth and empathy
- Perform cashier duties accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing information
- Support opening and closing store activities as needed
- Provide customer support across various departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
- Work regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities
- Advocate for and assist with new CVS services and loyalty programs
Requirements
- Physical requirements: Standing for extended periods, lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts of force regularly
- Visual acuity: Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts/details
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required
Skills
Customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational abilities are essential.
