About the role

The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. You'll work closely with customers, supporting various departments and helping to ensure the smooth operation of the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs and resolving issues promptly.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, greeting customers warmly and offering assistance as needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies.
• Manage the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing information.
• Support opening and closing store activities, including assisting with inventory management and departmental operations.
• Offer customer support across different departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
• Work in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities, providing support to pharmacy personnel.
• Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs that align with the company's mission of improving health outcomes.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts regularly.
• Good visual acuity for tasks such as viewing computer terminals, reading, and inspecting small parts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required.

Skills

• Customer service skills.
• Physical stamina for standing and moving throughout the day.
• Basic computer literacy.
