About the role
The Retail Store Associate position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a leading retail setting. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities including cashier duties, supporting various departments, and assisting in opening and closing store activities.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and respond to customer needs with empathy and care
- Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately
- Restock shelves and update pricing information
- Support opening and closing store activities
- Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty
- Work regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth and career development
- Advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs
Requirements
- Standing for sustained periods of time
- Lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently
- Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal and reading
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required
Skills
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a passion for customer service are essential.
