About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. This role requires a combination of customer service skills, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs and resolving potential service issues promptly.
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor, offering assistance and directing customers to products or services.
- Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and manage inventory under the direction of the store manager.
- Support store operations by assisting with opening and closing activities.
- Work collaboratively with other departments, such as photo and beauty, to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Assist pharmacy personnel during regular shifts, contributing to growth and career development opportunities.
- Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs that align with the company's mission of improving health outcomes.
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age.
- Ability to remain upright on the feet for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts regularly.
- Close visual acuity to perform tasks such as viewing computer terminals, reading, and inspecting small parts.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required.
