About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. You'll work closely with customers, supporting various departments and assisting in the pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and respond to customer needs with warmth and empathy
- Perform cashier duties accurately and efficiently, handling cash, checks, and credit cards
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing information
- Support opening and closing store activities as needed
- Provide customer support to all departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
- Work regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities
- Advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that align with the company's mission
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to remain upright on the feet for extended periods
- Capable of lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts regularly
- Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspections
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required
Skills
Customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to lift and move objects, and proficiency in using cash registers are essential.
