About the role

The Retail Store Associate position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a retail setting. This role involves a blend of independent work and teamwork, focusing on the needs of customers and supporting various departments within the store.

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion, and resolving service issues promptly.
• Focus on the customer by greeting warmly, maintaining eye contact, and offering assistance as needed.
• Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and managing inventory tasks.
• Support opening and closing store activities as needed.
• Offer customer support to departments like photo and beauty, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel during regular shifts, contributing to growth and career development opportunities.
• Embrace and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs to support the mission of improving health.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Physical requirements include remaining upright on the feet for extended periods, lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally, and up to 10 lbs frequently.
• Visual acuity necessary for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.

Qualifications
