About the role

The Retail Store Associate position plays a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service in a retail setting. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities including cashier duties, supporting various departments, and assisting in pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate and meet customer needs through attentive and compassionate service
• Maintain a welcoming environment by greeting customers warmly and offering assistance
• Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit cards according to company policies
• Manage the sales floor by restocking shelves, managing vendor check-ins, and updating pricing information
• Support store operations by participating in opening and closing activities
• Provide customer support across different departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
• Work in the pharmacy as part of career development opportunities
• Advocate for and promote new CVS services and loyalty programs

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for extended periods
• Capable of lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts regularly
• Good visual acuity for tasks such as viewing computer terminals, reading, and inspecting small parts

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting
