About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. You will work independently and as part of a team to positively impact the lives of customers, supporting various departments and advocating for new CVS services.
Responsibilities
- Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating needs, demonstrating compassion, and resolving potential service issues.
- Focus on the customer by greeting warmly, maintaining eye contact, and offering help locating items.
- Accurately perform cashier duties, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions with precision.
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and managing inventory.
- Support opening and closing store activities as needed.
- Offer customer support to all departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational, and staying current with new services and tools.
- Assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy for growth and career development.
- Embrace and advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs.
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age.
- Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods.
- Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and negligible amounts regularly.
- Close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspections involving small parts/details.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Physical stamina for standing and moving.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple responsibilities.
