Store Associate
About the role
The Retail Store Associate position at CVS Health offers an opportunity to provide exceptional customer service in a dynamic retail environment. You will work independently and as part of a team to positively impact the lives of customers.
Responsibilities
- Anticipate and respond to customer needs with warmth and empathy
- Perform cashier duties accurately, handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions
- Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, and updating pricing information
- Support opening and closing store activities as needed
- Provide customer support to all departments, ensuring they are fully stocked and operational
- Assist pharmacy personnel as needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy
- Advocate for new CVS services and loyalty programs that support our mission of helping people on their path to better health
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Remaining upright on the feet for sustained periods
- Lifting and exerting up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly
- Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts/details
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred but not required
Skills
Customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to lift and move objects, and proficiency with cash register systems are essential.

Pay
The typical pay range for this role is $15.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
