Storage / Backup Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the existing OS and Storage teams to manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot, and support servers and storage systems for the program and its customers
• Aid in implementing new system Hardware and Software and provide input for developing local operating procedures and policies as needed
• Be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the systems and providing utilization reports using existing tools to identify problems and corrective actions as needed
• Recommend, demonstrate, and implement technologies to help expand, upgrade, and increase efficiencies to the current environment

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum five (5) years of Storage/Backup Administration experience with a combination of:
• Design, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of highly available enterprise data storage systems
• Maintaining storage and network policies and standards
• Refreshing data from one environment to another at the request of the application development staff
• Creating, maintaining, following Standard Operating Procedures for repeatable processes, disaster recovery, and common problem resolution
• Experience with MS-Windows, Solaris, and RHEL/OEL Linux environments
• Administering applicable storage networks
• Good technical communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Power-Point, Excel, Project, and Outlook
• Ability to travel approximately 25% to support customer locations, mission partner engagements, and operational activities
