Backup Administrator

About the role

A Backup Administrator is needed to join our team. This position will be responsible for managing backup systems and ensuring data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Manage backup systems and ensure data protection policies are implemented and maintained.
• Monitor backup processes and troubleshoot issues to maintain system availability.
• Collaborate with IT teams to implement disaster recovery plans.
• Perform regular backups and verify the integrity of backed up data.
• Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in backup management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with backup software such as Veeam, NetBackup, or similar.
• Strong understanding of network architecture and storage systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage and maintain backup systems.
• Knowledge of data encryption and compliance standards.
• Experience with cloud-based backup solutions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills

• Proficient in Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell or Bash.
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Good understanding of data center operations and infrastructure.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
