Turn raw stone into finished masterpieces. At Classic Rock Fabrication, we're looking for a Stone Finishing Technician to help transform beautiful stone slabs into countertops that become the centerpiece of kitchens, bathrooms, and commercial spaces throughout our region.
About the role
This is not a desk job. You'll spend your day on our production floor using a water-fed grinder and other hand tools to polish and perfect stone surfaces. The work is physical, fast-paced, and requires attention to detail. If you enjoy seeing the direct results of your hard work and take satisfaction in a job done right, you'll fit right in.
Responsibilities
- Polish countertop edges, splashes, and surfaces to create a flawless finish
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings
- Use pneumatic hand tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively
- Identify and correct quality issues before products move to the next stage
- Assist with repairs and custom fabrication projects as needed
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and efficient
- Work closely with your teammates to meet production schedules and quality standards
- Follow all safety procedures and help maintain a safe workplace

- Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or stone experience is helpful, but we're willing to train motivated individuals
The Work Environment
This role is performed in an indoor manufacturing facility where:
- You'll be on your feet and moving throughout the day
- Noise levels can be loud, and appropriate hearing protection is provided
- Safety equipment, including steel-toe boots, eye protection, and hearing protection, is required
- Temperatures can vary with the seasons

Schedule
- 1st Shift: 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. +$2.00/hour shift differential
Qualifications
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to accurately read a standard tape measure to the nearest 1/16 inch
Language Skills
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write basic correspondence
- Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings with supervisors and coworkers
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Education And Experience
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training preferred; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
