Stockroom Clerk II (Kitter)

About the role
The Stockroom Clerk II is an experienced stockroom team member responsible for performing a broad range of inventory and material handling functions with a high degree of accuracy and independence. Building upon the foundational skills of the Stockroom Clerk I role, the Stockroom Clerk II handles more complex transactions, assists in training junior team members, and serves as a reliable resource to the Stockroom Lead in support of daily operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate flow of materials throughout the facility to support uninterrupted production.
Responsibilities
- Perform all Stockroom Clerk I duties with higher accuracy and independence.
- Manage and monitor inventory of ITAR-controlled and defense-sensitive materials, ensuring strict compliance with security protocols.
- Assist with maintaining traceability and serial/lot control records to meet DoD, AS9100, and ISO standards.
- Lead or support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and demonstrating inventory controls.
- Collaborate with quality, procurement, and production teams to resolve material discrepancies.
- Coordinate and document the movement of materials between secure areas, production, and shipping.
- Generate and validate part labels, shelf locations, and part traceability reports.
- Support configuration control and document retention policies as part of the material control team.
- Perform kitting and de-kitting of materials per work orders, ensuring accurate part counts and proper return of unused components to stock.
- Mentor Stockroom I staff in best practices, safety, and compliance procedures.
- Assist with company wide tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED (preferred).
- 3+ years of warehouse/stockroom experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regular standing, walking, and use of hands to handle or feel objects.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment (exposure to moderate noise, dust, and varying temperatures).
