STOCKROOM ATTENDANT - D Shift (El Paso, Texas, United States, 79934)

Primary Objective

Under minimal supervision, maintains manufacturing supply inventories. Issues parts and equipment upon request.

Major Function and Scope

• Issues supplies, machinery parts and tools as needed by maintenance and production personnel
• Reorders parts, supplies and tools as needed
• Checks inventory system prior to ordering
• Processes material requests using inventory system
• Reviews and maintains stock quantities
• Keys items received into inventory control system and makes other adjustments as necessary
• Follows standard operating and safety procedures
• Keeps supervisor informed of work in progress and any problem areas
• Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized
• Performs other related duties as required

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High school or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, electronic, or similar parts inventory
• Experience using computerized inventory control system

Competencies

• Ability to read and understand procedures in English
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations

Physical and Environmental Demands

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms
• Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• May be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures
• Noise level is usually loud
