STOCKROOM ATTENDANT - D Shift

About the role

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries and the largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone in the United States, is seeking a Stockroom Attendant to maintain manufacturing supply inventories under minimal supervision. This role involves issuing parts and equipment, reordering supplies, and managing inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Issue supplies, machinery parts, and tools as needed by maintenance and production personnel.
• Reorder parts, supplies, and tools as required.
• Check inventory system prior to ordering and process material requests using the inventory system.
• Review and maintain stock quantities.
• Key items received into the inventory control system and make necessary adjustments.
• Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
• Keep supervisor informed of work progress and any problem areas.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical, electronic, or similar parts inventory.
• Experience using a computerized inventory control system.
• Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; may occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
• May lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
• May be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
• Noise level is usually loud.
