Overview

The Stock Handler I is an entry-level position at A-dec, focusing on pulling, transferring, counting, organizing, and storing stock or parts in the warehouse departments. This role involves operating various Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) vehicles to route parts and finished goods, working closely with different manufacturing areas.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Gathers parts/stock according to necessary department-specific processes, ensuring safe and accurate delivery to designated manufacturing areas.
  • Maintains organization and accuracy of the work area by following established procedures for staging in-process work and supply items, stock rotation, allocation of storage space on shelves, and inventory transactions in the ERP system.
  • Pulls, monitors, and restocks specified parts using appropriate material handling techniques, including pallet jacks and PIT vehicles.
  • Fulfills safety guidelines and ensures no risk to self or others during operations.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of basic math for accurate measurement and calculation of part/stock quantities.
  • Able to effectively identify part numbers and/or descriptions.
  • Strong reading, writing, and communication skills in English, with the ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to learn and operate various motorized material handling vehicles through the PIT training certification process, and proficiency in using additional tools and equipment like counting scales, computer scanners, and hand tools.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and navigate within the ERP system to account for and transfer parts and stock.

Education And Experience

No previous warehouse experience is required.
